This page is particularly important for a digital news publisher.

The MIB states that Part III of the IT Rules, 2021 covers publishers of news and current-affairs content and provides a three-tier grievance-redressal mechanism.

Grievance Redressal

ChuppiTod Media Group is committed to addressing genuine complaints regarding content published on ChuppiTod.com.

Level 1 — Publisher

Readers may submit grievances concerning published content to:

Email:editor@chuppitod.com
Phone: +91 8209100941

A grievance should include:

  • complainant’s name;
  • contact details;
  • article/video URL;
  • nature of the grievance;
  • specific concern;
  • supporting information, where available.

We will examine the grievance in accordance with our applicable editorial and legal procedures.

Types of Complaints

Complaints may include concerns regarding:

  • factual inaccuracies;
  • privacy;
  • copyright;
  • inappropriate publication;
  • editorial standards;
  • content-related grievances;
  • other legitimate concerns regarding published material.

Escalation

Where applicable, grievances may be dealt with through the grievance-redressal framework prescribed under the applicable Information Technology Rules and digital-media framework.

ChuppiTod will maintain appropriate records of grievances and action taken as required by applicable law.

Important

I recommend not inventing a “Grievance Officer” person’s name yet.

If you tell me the actual responsible person’s full name and official designation, we can put that here. The legal framework has specific publisher obligations, so it is better to use the real responsible person rather than manufacture one. The MIB has specifically described the publisher-level grievance mechanism for digital news publishers.
